Your Digital for Business report
The report helps identify which changes would be useful for your business. Contact your LEO about the Digital for Business support before choosing a grant-funded project.
Company size, linked businesses, sector restrictions and trading status also matter. Clubs, charities and other organisations should ask their LEO to confirm whether their activities qualify.
Choose the right work
Plan the software, setup and training together.
Costs to discuss with your LEO
New off-the-shelf software
- CRM, booking, payment or invoicing subscriptions.
- Other qualifying business software that is new to your organisation.
- Up to one year’s eligible subscription fees.
- Related training and IT configuration, within the scheme’s limits.
Before you finalise your quote
Check your proposed costs
- Confirm the software is new to your business.
- Check the subscription terms and eligible period.
- Identify which costs belong in your application.
- Ask your LEO to confirm the proposed scope.
Training and configuration together cannot exceed half of the overall project cost.
The application route
Four steps from a review to a claim.
01
Start with Digital for Business
Speak to your LEO about a review of your current systems and opportunities to reduce admin. Use the report to guide the next step.
02
Gather the right quotations
Request an itemised quote from Nalcro. Ask your LEO how many supplier quotations are needed for your proposed expenditure.
Quote requirements can depend on the amount involved. Your LEO’s current application instructions take precedence.
03
Apply before committing to spend
Submit your application before ordering, signing contracts, paying or starting work. Confirm the approval steps with your LEO before proceeding.
04
Implement and submit your claim
Once your LEO confirms you can proceed, carry out the agreed work. Keep invoices, payment records and any other evidence your award requires.
Grant payment depends on your approved costs, award terms and claim evidence.
Check before you commit.
Talk to your LEO before ordering subscriptions or starting work. Nalcro can explain the technical scope; the LEO decides eligibility and funding.

Useful answers
Know what you are applying for.
What should I check before choosing software?
Check the software supplied, subscription terms and proposed costs against the grant criteria. Ask your LEO to assess the specific proposal before you commit to spend.
Do I always need three supplier quotes?
Ask your LEO. Quotation requirements can depend on the expenditure involved; the current Carlow application form, for example, uses different requirements below and above €4,999 excluding VAT.
Does Nalcro approve the grant?
Your Local Enterprise Office assesses and approves applications. We are a technical supplier and cannot guarantee a grant, eligibility or payment date.
Talk to Nalcro
Which task would you like to make easier?
Tell us about your current software, the work taking up your time and whether you have a Digital for Business report. We can discuss the technical options.
